I decided to put an entry together for an online Video Editing competition. The basic premise was that the video had to be original, funny, less than 2 minutes in length, and be made entirely with Ulead VideoStudio. It was fun to put this together - especially the stealing of the keys - and I'm glad I gave it a go. No, I'm not expecting to win any of the 12 prizes on offer, but it was great to have had to come up with something. Hopefully Jessica will like it when she gets to see it (it's 1:00am, and it was only finished a little over an hour ago). Here it is for your "entertainment". Please ignore the clumsiness in parts - I was on a tight deadline! Doesn't J look great though??

THAT, looks like lots of fun!!...it poses a few questions....like, if you were holding the camera, who was rolling the stroller?...okay, trade secrets. Hope it wins a prize, but like you say, worth the effort anyway. Did you have to edit the police chase out? And what about the burn out marks in the driveway?...the rain must have washed them away.
What's the deal with Dropshots? Looks like an easy way to post video on a blog. Well Done....(no helmet?!!!!!!)
Thanks! I was beginning to wonder if some of the shots might raise concerns of child endangerment or gross neglect!!
Obviously the idea was to imply that Jessica was operating independently, but I can assure you that the only time she was on her own was the single shot where she leaves the garage: and in that case we had the camera on a tripod (the motion was added later) and I pushed the pram to Mel who is off screen on the left. For every other shot, the pram is either 1. completely empty (ie. every time it is shot from behind) or 2. I am steering the pram with my right hand and filming with my left, or 3. Mel is pushing the pram while I film from the front, or 4. the pram is stationary (ie. the closeups of Jessicas face), or 5. Jessica is back at home with Mel while I film from her POV by putting the camera in the pram. And if you hadn't guessed, I'm holding her hands when she 'walks' through the room and I'm lifting her up as she 'climbs' the bedside table. So hopefully that alleviates a few concerns you might have!! :)
And yes, DropShots couldn't be easier. It's a free site which allows you to post 2 minute videos - you can then email a link to them on DropShots, or add them directly to your blog with a simple cut & paste. It's the first time I've used it, and there was absolutely nothing to learn - it all just worked.
Anyway - thanks for watching. Hope to see some of your fantastic videos uploaded soon.
